Final Flash Version

Here is the later version of my friend Marcelle's header. If you scroll down you can see an earlier graphic version. But after expanding our canvas and adding some flash buttons. I love it :) Take a look...

Here's what Marcelle had to say:

"Oh, I am so thrilled that you were able to get the

links to open in a new window! I tried them all with IE

and they all work superbly! When I clicked on the "X"

only the new file closed and the one with the header remained opened.



I remember the days when I started on the internet there

were so many times I lost a website because I thought

that by clicking on the "X" I was just closing one site but

instead lost everything. It was so disappointing!

It's my birthday!

Oh yeah, August 28th is my big day. I'm heading out for a bit, but i wanted to drop you a quick note. :) I forgot to post about this awesome header my flash guy G did for Jason. Go ahead and click to see it in action!

Another Holy Header Design :)

Lets start with a personal favor, and a personal favorite :)

Jason got an idea to play off the Mobster, Mafia Wars craze that we are all so addicted to in my house. So he needed something along the same lines as the social site apps. Strong lines and a recognizable style. I love this one. The guy kinda looks like him too :)

Now for the second one, he wasn't really sure what he wanted yet. But he knew clean and official was what he wanted. Also he really liked the mass control insignia - really added something. Looks pretty koo too ;)

Done and Done, Blog Header Turn out

Here we go:

The first client Marcelle has a "tips for beginning gardeners" site.

Simple and clean as part of a wordpress blog :) I had a beautiful graphic I've been waiting to use. We'll see how it looks overall.

Now from there she really stressed the importance of having a killer menu.

Now I have a buddy, he's been a friend to Jason and me for years - and he's up and climbing in the IM world. Short and sweet - he does brilliant flash. Banners, ads, headers, and it all functions. So I asked him to take what I had done so far and put something quick together just to give Marcelle an idea of how it would look and fuction. Then I asked him to give me a quote for his services.

Now flash takes a sec to do, I know that, pretty difficult stuff. I like flash but I think it takes time away doing something I'm not crazy about so... Do what you love, and stay focused. I'll leave the flash stuff to him.

He gave me a quote of $197 for a pimpin flash header based on my designs.

Now in his own words he did say "if they want to keep a link to your blog right in the header such as a 'designed by HeadersForBlogs.com' we can cut her a serious deal cause we'll get free traffic"

((Pretty good I think considering design guru Ryan's headers run about $299 no flash.))

Moving on-

This second header is for a friend of mine, Jambhala - really cool guy doin a ton of environmental research in Belize. He had a blog but just the basic text header - so I wanted to make something cool and 2.0 looking. Here's what we got.

Digg the Future of Blogging?

According to this pretty convincing article, I might have stumbled upon the future of blogging. It's called lifestreaming. Sync'd and automatically updated logs of your fun daily activities online - so in other words - you don't keep up with a blog, the blog keeps up with you :)

Another Sweet Blog Header Project - Done :)

Alrighty, this client is building a blog on a fantastic idea.

User language exchange - I just got my Rosetta Stone Software - so I was really excited to see this come through. He wanted a 2.0 look but with a focus on "a bunch of gals and guys" from around the world. :)

I think the base of 2.0 is big, easy words, with lots of simplistic lines. I made 3 versions, and this one has all the elements he asked for...

Next we have a header for a blog I'm working on where people can have custom audio messages recorded. Streaming audio is great for raising conversions on a site - I know, I tested ;)

Again you can see tons of unique images and fonts that I bought - just for these projects.

I spent the weekend hunting them down, and getting the last few books and posters to start my son Aaron's schooling, good stuff.
